Parents furnace went out around Christmas time. Bob came very quick and replaced the faulty inducer. Upon inspection of the furnace he noticed the heat exchanger was in bad shape on this 20+ year old unit. Bob & his team came back and replaced the whole furnace. Job was done very neatly, affordably & professionally. Would highly recommend B&Z heating to anybody in the south suburbs. 5 stars !

Let me start by saying that I have always been very cautious because almost every company tries to rip people off. Well, let me tell you, B&Z provides honest, fair, and quality services. They are a family-owned and operated company. My furnace was overheating due to the wrong air filter. They came, inspected the unit, and scheduled me for a follow-up cleaning. I will be a regular customer and will be getting my yearly cleaning with B&Z from now on!

B & Z is the best. Bob and his crew responded very quickly and helped me make the right decision on a new furnace and AC unit. Unlike many HVAC providers I’ve worked with, Bob carries and can provide any of the major brands, so he does not push one brand and upsell for more than you need. He did a thorough analysis and test to determine the appropriate size systems and gave me options on good, better, best and associated pros and cons. Most importantly Bob is honest and trustworthy. Quick response, comprehensive evaluation and recommendations, competitive and fair pricing and high quality installation. Highly recommend B & Z!

When your boiler goes down, the whole house feels it fast. Cold radiators, uneven heat, or a unit that rumbles and won't hold pressure all point to a specific fault, and our job is to track it to the source instead of guessing. Whether you run a gas, hot-water, or steam boiler, our NATE-certified techs find what's actually wrong and fix it right, with free estimates and honest, no-upsell pricing.
A boiler heats your home with hot water or steam instead of blown air, so the warning signs look different from a furnace. Watch for these.
Your radiators or baseboards stay cold or warm only partway while the boiler (the unit that heats your water) runs.
You spot water pooling around the boiler or damp spots near the pipes, valves, or radiators.
The pressure gauge reads below its normal range, which can stop the boiler from circulating heat properly.
You hear banging, knocking, or gurgling from the pipes or boiler, often trapped air or built-up sediment.
The boiler won't light or keeps shutting off, so there's no hot water or steam to heat your home.
Your bills rise while the house feels cooler, a sign the boiler is working harder to move less heat.
We track the fault through the whole system, from the boiler to the radiators.
We check pressure, water levels, the circulator pump, valves, and controls to find where the heat is being lost.
Rather than guessing, we trace the problem to its source, whether it's a leak, trapped air, or a failing part.
You approve one upfront price before we start, with no hidden fees and no pressure to replace a boiler that can be repaired.
We make the repair, restore proper pressure, and confirm your radiators or baseboards heat safely before we leave.
A few things move the number on a boiler repair. The biggest is which part failed, because swapping a circulator pump, zone valve, or pressure relief valve is a far smaller job than replacing a cracked heat exchanger or a failing gas valve. The type of boiler matters too, since gas, oil, and electric units all call for different parts, and a steam system diagnoses differently than a hot-water one. Age and efficiency tier factor in as well, because older cast-iron boilers and discontinued models can be harder to source parts for than a newer high-efficiency condensing unit. How your system is laid out counts too, from how easy the boiler and its piping are to reach to whether the repair touches a gas line or venting that needs a permit.
