Parents furnace went out around Christmas time. Bob came very quick and replaced the faulty inducer. Upon inspection of the furnace he noticed the heat exchanger was in bad shape on this 20+ year old unit. Bob & his team came back and replaced the whole furnace. Job was done very neatly, affordably & professionally. Would highly recommend B&Z heating to anybody in the south suburbs. 5 stars !

Let me start by saying that I have always been very cautious because almost every company tries to rip people off. Well, let me tell you, B&Z provides honest, fair, and quality services. They are a family-owned and operated company. My furnace was overheating due to the wrong air filter. They came, inspected the unit, and scheduled me for a follow-up cleaning. I will be a regular customer and will be getting my yearly cleaning with B&Z from now on!

B & Z is the best. Bob and his crew responded very quickly and helped me make the right decision on a new furnace and AC unit. Unlike many HVAC providers I’ve worked with, Bob carries and can provide any of the major brands, so he does not push one brand and upsell for more than you need. He did a thorough analysis and test to determine the appropriate size systems and gave me options on good, better, best and associated pros and cons. Most importantly Bob is honest and trustworthy. Quick response, comprehensive evaluation and recommendations, competitive and fair pricing and high quality installation. Highly recommend B & Z!

A heater tune-up is the difference between your furnace kicking on the first cold night and it quitting on you in the middle of January. Our NATE-certified technicians go through the whole system the way we'd want ours checked, cleaning the burners, testing the flame sensor and ignition, inspecting the heat exchanger for the kind of cracks that leak carbon monoxide, and confirming your safety controls actually shut the unit down when they're supposed to. You get a straight report on what we found and what (if anything) needs attention, with no pressure to swap out parts that are still doing their job.
A yearly tune-up catches small problems before they leave you without heat on the coldest night of winter.
It's been more than a year, or you can't remember the last time anyone serviced your heating system.
Your heating bills keep climbing even though you haven't changed how warm you keep the house.
You can't recall the last time the air filter was changed, and airflow through the vents feels weaker.
The system rattles, bangs, or squeals when it kicks on, which often points to a part working loose.
Some rooms feel warm while others stay chilly, a sign the system isn't running at its best.
You want the system checked before the first hard freeze, so a breakdown doesn't catch you on the coldest day.
A real tune-up is a full inspection, not a quick glance and a sticker.
We check the parts that keep your system running safely, including electrical connections and controls, so small faults don't turn into hazards.
We inspect the filter and the airflow through the system. Restricted air makes your heater work harder and cost more to run.
We measure how the system is performing and confirm it's heating efficiently, catching parts that are wearing out before they fail.
You get a straight rundown of what we found. If anything needs attention, you get a flat-rate price up front with no pressure.
A few things move the price of a heater maintenance visit. The type of system matters most, since a standard gas furnace, a high-efficiency condensing furnace with a condensate drain, a heat pump, and a boiler each have different parts to clean and test and take different amounts of time. So does how many units you're heating with, because a home with two furnaces or separate zones is really two inspections. The age and condition of the equipment play in too, since an older or heavily fouled unit needs more cleaning to get the burners and blower back to spec. Where the furnace sits factors in as well, as a unit crammed into a tight attic or crawlspace is harder to reach and service than one sitting open in the basement. Finally, a one-time seasonal tune-up is priced differently than a recurring maintenance plan, and a priority visit during a January cold snap isn't the same as a routine fall check.
